Political composition

Following the 2021 election, by-elections in November 2022 and February 2024, as well as a change of allegiance in April 2023, the composition of the council is:

  • Conservative: 60
  • Liberal Democrats: 29
  • Independent: 6
  • Labour: 3

The leader of the council is Cllr Richard Clewer, and The Deputy Leader is Cllr Laura Mayes.
